I feel sorry about all that wasted talent, I do. But as someone very rightly said, an integral part of talent is knowing how to make use of it.
So while I do indeed feel bad for the brilliantly talented ones who the world will never know thanks to their lack of resources, it's somewhat harder to feel bad about people who failed due to their own characters. That's just the way the bouncing ball bounces, I guess.

I am sorry i couldn't publish your first comment because it contained a name.
Also, I am surprised that you actually clarified what happened. And I must say now that I do not hold anything personal against you or any other member of my dept. senior or junior or of my own batch. I really did not know at all who was/were involved in this and neither did i try to know afterward.

When i was narrated that incident, it just served to trigger something in me and i wrote that post as a general commentary on my own experiences, while mentioning the trigger.

I do understand that it was all in harmless fun and i do see it that way. What actually disturbs me is that a lot of inference can be drawn from the way people react to or tell or make jokes, especially because not much thought always goes into. But that is just my way of looking at things. And this one just confirmed something. So I from my end want to clarify again that it is nothing personal against or about any person at all. And hence please don't take it that way, you or anyone else.

In the end, thanks for commenting and telling me all this. i am quite grateful that you took the time out and commented. Thank you.

Now having read the rest of your post, *sigh*, I do have better things to do, I think about what I'm going to do post JNU a lot, I also spend a considerable amount of time studying and writing and the amount of time spent making fun of people and things is very insignificant compared to that. As for taking myself seriously, I don't much and especially not other people. And you shouldn't read too much into it anyway because too much thought did not go into it.
